Chad’s transitional president leaves Saudi Arabia

  • Deby met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss bilateral relations

JEDDAH: President of Chad’s Transitional Military Council Mahamat Idriss Deby left Jeddah on Tuesday.

He was seen off at the King Abdulaziz International Airport by Prince Badr bin Sultan, deputy governor of Makkah region; Ali Al-Qarni, assistant mayor of Jeddah, Maj. Gen. Suleiman bin Omar Al-Tuwaireb, director of Jeddah Police; the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Chad, Amer bin Ali Al-Shehri; Chadian Ambassador to the Kingdom Hassan Al-Junaidi; and Ahmed Abdullah bin Dhafer, director of royal protocols in the Makkah region.

Deby arrived in Jeddah earlier this week and was received by the Gov. of Makkah Region Prince Khaled Al-Faisal.

On Monday, Deby met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation in all sectors of mutual interest, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
