Hurricane Debby forms in the Gulf of Mexico ahead of Florida landfall<\/a><\/h2>\n

Debby has strengthened into a hurricane late Sunday ahead of landfall to Florida’s Big Bend on Monday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Hurricane<\/a> Debby has developed in the Gulf of Mexico as the storm takes aim at Florida<\/a>, where landfall is expected Monday.<\/p>\n

Debby is already blasting flooding<\/a> rain, damaging winds and storm surge<\/a> to Florida ahead of its expected landfall in the Big Bend region. By mid-week, the storm is expected to dump extreme amounts of nearly 2 feet of rain on parts of Georgia and South Carolina.<\/a><\/p>\n

The NHC is forecasting “potentially historic rainfall” across southeast Georgia<\/u><\/a> and South Carolina<\/u><\/a> through Friday, causing widespread flash flooding and life-threatening conditions.<\/p>\n
