individuals engaged in unlicensed activities, specifically the sale of unlicensed gas cylinders, a serious threat to public safety.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"story-block\">\n<p>These cylinders id=\"PA_mid-article\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"cacher\">\n<div class=\"story-block\">\n<p>Brigadier Harib Al Shamsi, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation at Dubai Police, stated that the arrests are part of Dubai Police\u2019s ongoing efforts to crack down on illegal street vendors who violate safety laws and regulations.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"story-block\">\n<p>\u201cThese actions are taken to protect the community from behaviours or phenomena that could cause harm, to achieve the highest levels of public safety, and to ensure the continued security and well-being of Dubai\u2019s residents,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"story-block\">\n<p>Al Shamsi explained that security teams from the General Department of Criminal Investigation managed to seize two vehicles used by the nine individuals to sell unlicensed gas cylinders in violation of laws and regulations.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"adv \">\n<div also using unapproved storage locations, and the security teams confiscated 343 unlicensed cylinders,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"story-block\">\n<h2>Public safety concerns<\/h2>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"story-block\">\n<p>Al Shamsi emphasised that gas cylinders require specific standards and conditions for transportation, storage and usage, given that they are flammable materials. Therefore, dealing with dubious vendors poses a significant risk to public safety.
