Check out what&#8217;s clicking on Foxnews.com.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A warning has been issued by one of Libya&#8217;s competing prime ministers against further militia clashes, following the deadliest outbreak of violence this year in the capital city of Tripoli, resulting in at least 45 fatalities.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The conflict erupted when members of the 444 brigade clashed with their adversaries, the Special Deterrence Force, after a senior commander from the 444 brigade was detained by the rival group at a Tripoli airport.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Prime Minister Dbeibah also indicated the possibility of taking &#8220;other measures&#8221; against the two militia factions should the fighting escalate.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"speakable\">One of Libya\u2019s rival prime ministers warned Thursday that his government would not tolerate any further militia fighting, days after the year\u2019s bloodiest bout of clashes rocked the capital, Tripoli, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/frequent-shootings-put-us-mass-killings-record-pace\">killing at least 45 people.<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-container mobile ad-h-250 ad-w-300 ad-placeholder-load\">\n<div data-iu=\"ban1\" id=\"mobile-mw-ad-ban1\" class=\"ad gam inline\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-container tablet ad-h-50 ad-w-300\">\n<div data-iu=\"lb2\" class=\"ad gam\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"speakable\">Violence ensued late on Monday between militiamen from the 444 brigade and its rival the Special Deterrence Force after Mahmoud Hamza, a senior commander of the brigade was held by the rival group at an airport in Tripoli, according to local media.<\/p>\n<p>The warning from Abdul Hamid Dbeibah \u2014 who heads the Tripoli-based government \u2014 came as Hamza was released and returned to his militia\u2019s headquarters, according to footage aired by Libyan media late Wednesday.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-container desktop ad-h-50 ad-w-300\">\n<div data-iu=\"lb2\" class=\"ad gam\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;We are used to the sound of clashes, but (coming near) civilians is forbidden,&#8221; said Dbeibah in a televised speech accompanied by tribal elders from eastern Tripoli, a district where both militias have a strong presence.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-container mobile ad-h-250 ad-w-300 ad-placeholder-load\">\n<div data-iu=\"ban2\" id=\"mobile-mw-ad-ban2\" class=\"ad gam inline\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>During his 45-minute speech, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/un-special-envoy-libya-double-down-negotiations-continued-election-delays\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tripoli-based prime minister<\/a> also threatened to introduce &#8220;other measures&#8221; against the two militia groups if the fighting escalated but provided no further detail. It has also set up a situation room, but by Wednesday a tentative calm had returned to the city.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-container mobile ad-h-250 ad-w-300 ad-placeholder-load\">\n<div data-iu=\"ban3\" id=\"mobile-mw-ad-ban3\" class=\"ad gam inline\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Malek Merset, the spokesperson for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/deadly-clashes-among-rival-militias-tripoli-spark-heightened-security-measures-leave-dozens-injured\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Libya\u2019s Emergency Medicine and Support Center<\/a>, told the Associated Press Wednesday that the death count had risen to 45, up from 27 on Tuesday, while an additional 146 people were injured.
